How to read the badges
Every document and search result is labelled so current and non-current law are never confused.
- In force Recorded by the catalogue as in force; verify the official source and currency evidence before relying on it.
- Not yet in force Enacted but not yet commenced.
- Repealed Revoked No longer law — kept for historical reference.
- Spent Has no continuing legal effect.
- Bill A proposal — not enacted, not law.
Point-in-time & consolidation currency
Where the official commencement and supersession timeline is complete, a date picker selects the published consolidated revision recorded for that date. The feature must not infer missing dates from a revision label.
The reader reproduces a published Revision; it does not silently apply amendment text. On eligible current pages, the opt-in currency evidence lens (beta) shows strictly gated amendment candidates and an omission ledger. It is a machine-assisted research checklist, not a statement of current law. Always confirm against the official PDFs before relying on a provision.
