THE PUBLIC HOLIDAYS LAW (2007 REVISION)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the Public Holidays Law (2007 Revision), the Governor in Cabinet makes the following Order - This Order may be cited as the Public Holidays Order, 2012. The Public Holidays Law (2007 Revision) is amended in the Schedule by inserting after paragraph 15 the following paragraph - “16. In the year 2012 only, for the purposes of the holding of a referendum on the proposal to introduce an electoral system of single-member constituencies with each elector being entitled to cast only one vote, 18th July shall be a Public General Holiday.”.
